Dr. Shankar N. Bijapur is a senior obstetrician, gynecologist, and fertility specialist whose career reflects a rare blend of deep clinical experience, academic leadership, and healthcare management expertise. With decades of  clinical practice in women’s healthcare, his work has been shaped by excellence, ethics, and lifelong learning. He completed his MBBS from Mysore University, securing 6th rank in the final year, followed by an MD with distinction. His advanced training includes a Diploma in Fertility Planning, gynecological endoscopy training at Kiel University, Germany, fellowship training in infertility across India, Sweden, and the UK, and a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery from the World Laparoscopy Hospital. He is also a Fellow of the Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FICOG), a prestigious honour awarded by FOGSI.
